Let’s face it, launching a coupon campaign may promote the possibility of coupon duplication, you need a way to validate your coupons.

Coupontank solves the problem with what we call, dual-layered coupon security. This is a system that is activated within our coupon design portion of the application. While creating your coupon, you can activate the security feature and a unique security code will be added to your coupon. Technically speaking, this is how the code works for you:

When a user views a coupon on your Facebook business page, website or through email, the user receives a unique security code on the coupon. This code will not change for the user. We do two things to prevent the user from receiving a new security code:

Printing Limits

With the limit printing feature enabled, you can limit your customers coupon printing to 1 copy. We make it nearly impossible for people to duplicate your coupons.

IP Address Tracking

We log the users IP address every time they view a coupon, and then lock that unique coupon code, and map it to that users IP address.This keeps the security code unchanged for each user viewing a coupon.

Cookie

We use a cookie to remember a user and identify which coupons they have viewed. This also keeps track of the unique code and prevents unwanted duplicates.

Validating Coupons

Within your Spiral Scratch design tool, this security button leads you to the coupon validation panel. Simply type in the unique code on a coupon that a customer has given to you and find out if it has already been used. This panel will also tell you how many security codes have been generated so that you know the number of coupons that have been viewed or printed.
